This innovative fire protection product is aimed at the 26,000 people in the UK that choose to build their own homes each year. These ‘self build’ projects are legislated under the CDM Regs 2007, and as such require the self build site to have sufficient fire protection as detailed below.

The Construction, Design and Management Regulation 2007 (CDM Regs 2007) section part 4 sections 38-41 state those undertaking a self build project are required to ensure ‘suitable and sufficient steps to be taken to prevent risk from fire’. Also that ‘suitable procedures need to be in place for dealing with a foreseeable emergency’.

The 2Kg Powder Extinguisher and the 10 Man First Aid Kit are included within the pack for sighting within the site office for additional protection.
